Responsibilities:
- Process accurate and timely payroll for US-based employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensure proper withholding and reporting.
- Manage and process employee benefits deductions, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary deductions.
- Reconcile payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, including quarterly and annual tax filings (e.g., Form 941, W-2s).
- Ensure compliance with Indian payroll regulations, including Provident Fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) for relevant employees.
- Utilize automated payroll software efficiently to manage payroll cycles and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax-related matters.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll information and employee data.
- Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll integration and reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in US and Indian payroll laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
Qualifications:
- Location: Delhi, India
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of US payroll regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Skills: Proven expertise in payroll processing, US federal and state tax compliance, and proficiency with automated payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto).
- Knowledge of Indian compliance requirements such as Provident Fund (PF), Employees’ State Insurance (ESI), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is essential.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation Range: $45,000 – $65,000 base (excluding potential incentives). This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
